Well, we dodged a blizzard bullet in these parts this week with a storm that left less snow on the ground than we had when it started. We celebrated with a mostly high octane Boudin Barndance this evening. Our main feature was a remembrance of guitar rock & roll great Evan Johns who passed away on Saturday. Along with his H-Bombs band, he left a definite R&R imprint on my psyche. Lots of new releases making their Barndance debut tonight including albums from Hurray for the Riff Raff, Sera Cahoone, Cary Elkins, K. Phillips, Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors, Girls Guns & Glory, Jake Xerxes Fussell, Bill Scorzari, Fred Eaglesmith, The Kernal, and Sarah Bethe Nelson. Buttshaker of the week???? Every darn song we played from Evan Johns & the H-Bombs. Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
