Yet another muggy, hot and uncomfortable Thursday in these parts, yet the URI studio was cool which kept The Boudin Barndance in a happy way to deliver the tunes. Prime on the agenda tonight was a remembrance of Richard Swift who passed in early July. Richard had a magic touch with most everything he was involved with and went way too early. So sad. We previewed and gave away tix to Cindy Lee Berryhill’s upcoming show on August 15 at the Greenwich Odeum. The usual odds and ends, as well. New releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included albums from Lucero, Steve Forbert, Mikaela Davis, Dawn & Hawkes, Robbie Fulks & Linda Gail Lewis, and Yvette Landry & the Jukes. Buttshaker of the week???? Web Pierce gets the prize with “The New Raunchy.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
