As of tonight, it’s 32 years and one week of Boudin Barndance radio shows. One of the first labels to send me an album to play on the radio and that after I had written to the them requesting a specific record was Cactus Club Records. The album was Chris Gaffney & The Cold Hard Facts’ Road to Indio. I couldn’t believe they responded to my letter. I got to thinking about it during this past week and decided a Chris Gaffney tribute, what with it being 11 years since he passed, was in order. It highlighted this evening’s show with the usual mix. New releases? We played ‘em! They included first time spins for albums from the Felice Brothers, Daddy Long Legs, Justin Townes Earle, Patrick Sweany (reissue), Bambi Lee Savage, Silver Lake 66, and Wreckless Eric.
