Another gorgeous night in these parts and perfect for outdoor Boudin Barndance listening. Hopefully you took advantage of both. Had a ton of fun in the DJ seat tonight as we bounced all around the roots music world including lots of birthday salutes and some twin spin action in our soul & blues closing set. New singles and albums from James McMurtry, Cooley-Hood-Isbell, The High Hawks, Lara Hope & The Ark-Tones, Jesse Daniel, Sturgill Simpson, JP Harris, K.C. Jones, Kris Angelis, and Tim Easton made the Barndance hit parade for the first time. Buttshaker of the week???? A Happy Birthday salute to Mike Buck with The LeRoi Brothers with “Are You With Me Baby (Say Yeah).” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
