I equated this evening’s Boudin Barndance radio show to chow mein. There’s a lot in it. First & foremost on the agenda was a remembrance of the “quiet Monkee,” Mike Nesmith with a lengthy set of his material, not to mention a few tracks from a great tribute records. We also sampled tracks from the mix CD accompanying Oxford American Magazine’s just-out annual Southern Music issue. Add to that new releases and old ones, the weekly C&W set, and a few surprises and it was a whopper of a show.
