We continued a Boudin Barndance radio show Thanksgiving tradition this evening by devoting a major chunk of the show to one of our all-time heroes, the late Doug Sahm. It was all-things Doug from 7-9 pm from early 45s to Sir Douglas Quintet stuff to various solo and band lead stuff. Oh yeah, some covers, too! The first hour was a matter of playing some odds & ends stuff that strike a nerve, including Dylan’s “Murder Most Foul” which is new Alice’s Restaurant. By the way, Bob plays in Providence on Friday night (Nov. 26). No new spins tonight. Buttshaker of the week???? Sir Douglas Quintet, obviously, with “The Tracker.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
