A big gulp of Buck Owens was the main item on The Boudin Barndance menu this evening as we sampled tracks from nine new reissues of circa 1968-74 Buck Owens & The Buckaroos albums courtesy of Omnivore Recordings. We spent the last hour doing all-Buck. Prior to that, it was our usual mix including a small preview of our Roots Hoot House Concerts’ sold-out Swamptoberfest event this Sunday featuring Jon Langford & friends and Ramblin’ Deano. New albums and singles making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included music from Matt the Electrician, Noel McKay, Sean Rowe, Kevin Morby & Hamilton Leithauser, and Tommy Womack. All great stuff! Buttshaker of the week????Jon Langford with “Hard Times.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
