Fundraiser week at WRIU and this evening was the Boudin Barndance’s turn and a banner evening it was. I want to thank all of those people who called in with pledges of support! Thank you! Unfortunately, we usually don’t have the online pledge information provided to us until after radiothon, so if you did pledge via www.wriu.org you are much thanked. I also want to thank Bloodshot Records, Sony Music Entertainment, Easy Eye Sound, and Normaltown Records for contributing music and my pal Paul and his team for both the terrific t-shirt and bandana designs. As for the show, it was lots more talk than music tonight, but we still kept the tunes flowing and it sure felt like they were worthy ones. Only a single release making its Barndance debut tonight and that was from Zach Schmidt. Buttshaker of the week???? Birthday boy Dave Edmunds with a hot cover of Jerry Reed’s “The Claw.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
