An all-over-the-map Boudin Barndance radio program tonight that probably hit most all roots subgenres in one form or the other. The centerpoint was a well overdue set of truckin’ music at mid-show. It is a C&W subgenre that fueled the show in the early days. New albums and singles making their Barndance debut tonight included music from Jake Xerxes Fussell, Lula Wiles, the trio of Ingram, Lambert & Randall, Reigning Sound, Dave Alvin with the Gene Taylor Blues Band, The Harlem Gospel Travelers, and the Menahan Street Band. Buttshaker of the week???? down to the Crescent City with “Tell Me Pretty Baby” from the great Lloyd Price.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
