Yet another full plate on The Boudin Barndance radio show this evening and boy did it go fast. We kicked things off with our usual mix of new and recent releases followed by our weekly C&W set. That was the 1st half of the show. In the 2nd half, we began by stepping back 50 years to shine a spotlight on Elvis Presley and the Nashville Cats and the infamous June of 1970 marathon recording sessions, warts and all, chronicled by the new “From Elvis in Nashville” collection from RCA/Legacy Recordings. Simply put, this stuff cooks! We concluded things with a little bit of New Orleans and Crawfish Circuit tunage. New and recent releases making their Barndance debut tonight in addition to the Elvis Presley collection included albums from The Nude Party and Ned Hill. Buttshaker of the week???? The Nashville Cats with “Jam #2 (Tiger Man).” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
