Everything clicking on The Boudin Barndance this evening. We welcomed a film crew to capture all the studio action for an upcoming segment planned for R.I. PBS TV later this fall, so that was pretty cool. We featured music from a couple of Texas “folkies” in Mance Lipscomb and Bill Neeley each of whom was cited as highly influential in the film Dirt Road to Psychedelia about Austin music in the ‘60s which I recently discovered. We did our C&W set, as usual, and played lots of new and not so new. Recent and upcoming albums making their Barndance debut tonight included stuff from Justin Wells, Kyle Nix, R.B. Morris, D.L. Marble, Invisible Runner, HEAP, and Bobby Rush.
