Tonight’s show was actually the first COVID-19 home edition of The Boudin Barndance prepared in various spots in my house after all this bullshit hit. So, here we’re at and here is what we dished out this evening as we adapt to the new normal. Highlights? Well, one of the first music people we knew of that succumbed to this virus was a Blue Chieftain, Stephen Antonakas, from that late ‘80s Diesel Only Records band. It inspired a remembrance of the BCs, not to mention the DO roster. Special stuff spewed out of those 45 RPMs in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s and I thank Mr. Tepper for sending the 7-inchers this way back in the day. Oh yeah, this is still a radio show and artists are still releasing new albums. These ones hit the BB parade tonight for the first time: Early James, Rookie, Lilly Hiatt, Logan Ledger, Waco Brothers, James Hunter, Steve Goodman reissue, and Nap Eyes. Support them! Buttshaker of the week???? On an instrumental note and keeping with the Diesel Only bent, the World Famous Bluejays with “Cookin’ With Jay.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
