Instead of the usual three, it was only two hours of the Boudin Barndance this evening, but for good reason. For the last hour, we switched to the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA for a live broadcast of this evening’s 2,000th show at the venue with Marcia Ball and Sonny Landreth. Pretty special stuff! Prior to that, the usual Barndance mix of new stuff, a few nuggets, our weekly dose of C&W, and a bit of a Louisiana lead-in to the Narrows. New and upcoming albums making their Barndance debut tonight included releases from William Prince, Nathaniel Rateliff, Rose Cousins, Sarah Morris, The Steeldrivers, Taylor Ashton, Della Mae, and The Robert Cray Band. Buttshaker of the week???? In the Louisiana spirit, John Fred & the Playboys with “Shirley.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
