The first Boudin Barndance of September was a pretty busy one and frankly, we could’ve gone on at least another hour if permitted. As it was, we squeezed in plenty. It is Rhythm & Roots Festival weekend here in Rhode Island and we closed the show on that note. New releases dominated the first hour followed by our C&W set. We remembered a trio of artists each of whom left us in the last week: Carlo Nuccio of Continental Drifters fame and more, Bobby Sutcliff of The Windbreakers fame, and country artist Luke Bell. New albums and singles making their making their Boudin Barndance debut came from Jesse Malin (single), Mountain Goats, The Harlem Gospel Travelers, Thee Sacred Souls, Ragland, and Loudon Wainwright III. Buttshaker of the week???? Hard to not give it to “Duck Tail” by Joe Clay. Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
