After recaps and pre-emptions, started working our way back to the normal Boudin Barndance format tonight. We spent the entire first half of the show with mostly 2024 releases. Because we’ve neglected the weekly C&W segment for some seven weeks, we spent the majority of the 2nd half of the program playing “C&W catch-up” before devoting the final 15 minutes of the program to a remembrance of Mary Weiss of The Shangri-Las fame. New and recent releases making their debut on this evening’s Barndance came from Waxahatchee, MJ Lendermen, Sarah Jarosz, Kyle Kimbrell, Pernice Brothers, Charlie Parr, Chatham County Line, Stephen Clair, The Felice Brothers, The Black Keys, Jim Kweskin, Sharks Come Cruisin’, Johnny Dowd, Adrianne Lenker, Missy Raines, Brace & Jutz, and Tony Gilkyson.
