Tony Rice has been on my mind since his passing on Christmas day and a remembrance as we did tonight is overdue and hopefully we did him right. He was truly a musical hero of mine. Prior to that, it was our usual Barndance mash-up of new stuff followed by our weekly C&W set. Closed out with some favorites followed by a quickie r&r closer. New music making its Barndance debut tonight included singles and albums from Swamp Dogg, Aaron Frazer, Garrison Starr, The Brother Boys, Pony Bradshaw, Esther Rose, and a new Wick Records compilation. Buttshaker of the week???? Fraternity Records favorites The Carnations with “Casual.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
