Back after a week off due to basketball broadcast preemption. In addition to our usual new stuff, C&W set, and various odds & ends, we did a remembrance of New Orleans piano-playing great Huey “Piano” Smith who passed back on Feb 13. We closed with a bunch of stuff from Smith & The Clowns. A reminder that our annual WRIU Radiothon Fundraiser happens next weeks running from Feb 26 – March 5. We’ll be asking for your financial support in what has been a rather difficult time for WRIU given our tower situation. Albums and singles making their Barndance debut tonight came from The Tender Things (big thumbs up!), Willie Nelson (single), Jaimee Harris, Yo La Tengo, The Burnt Pines, and Erik Vincent Huey.
