Haven’t had a Boudin Barndance fall on February 29 since 1996. I’ve got that playlist somewhere. Anyway, a couple of remembrances of lost R&R heroes were the focal point of The Boudin Barndance this evening as we remembered Dex Romweber and legendary Sun Records drummer JM Van Eaton. With respect to Dex, I could have played his stuff all night. Prior to that, it was a first hour dominated by new releases followed by our weekly C&W segment. New albums and singles making their Barndance debut this evening came from the Hurray for the Riff Raff, Secret Sisters, Sierra Ferrell, Rosali,and Kelsey Waldon. Buttshaker of the week???? Flat Duo Jets with Louis Prima’s “Sing Sing Sing.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
