A busy Boudin Barndance radio program this evening. Spent the first hour focusing on new and recent releases before moving into our weekly C&W set to kick off the 2nd hour. We remembered Rockabilly Hall of Fame member Ray Campi who passed away last week and played a set of his music. I recently read the Robbie Robertson memoir and it sparked a set of music from The Band and some of their influences from the hillbilly side of things. We closed with the blues. New releases making their Barndance debut tonight included new singles from Amythyst Kiah and Robert Finley and new albums from Valerie June and Morgan Wade. Buttshaker of the week???? Of course Ray Campi takes the trophy with “Ballin’ Keen.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
