No April fool’s B.S. on this evening’s Boudin Barndance. Just the straight-up, good stuff. New releases dominated the first hour followed by our weekly vintage C&W set. Spotlighted the new Nancy Sinatra compilation from Light in the Attic to begin the 2nd half of the program. This was followed by a set in remembrance of drummer and percussionist Don Heffington who passed away last week. We played cuts from some of our favorite artists with Don backing. Concluded the show in a blues and R&B way. New music making its Barndance debut this evening included Travis Linville, Parker Millsap, The Winnie Blues, John Smith, Langhorne Slim, June Star, Bobby Osborne, Sara Petite, The Shootouts, West of Texas, John Howie, Jr. and Nancy Sinatra. Buttshaker of the week???? An early, killer Lonnie Brooks track called “Mr. Hot Stuff.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
