Closed out April tonight with yet another edition of The Boudin Barndance. What with his 88th birthday coming tomorrow, we saluted Willie Nelson not to mention a mini salute to the late Hasil Adkins who would’ve celebrated a birthday today. Also put the spotlight on the new collection from Real Gone Music of never before released Mike Nesmith recordings from his early ‘70s days with RCA Victor Records. It is freakin’ great! Other than that, it was our usual Barndance mash-up. New music making its Barndance debut tonight included singles and albums from Lucinda Williams (from the upcoming Sharon Van Etten album Epic 10), Rachel Baiman, Riley Downing, Joe Kaplow, and the aforementioned Mike Nesmith collection. Buttshaker of the week???? Link Wray & the Raymen with “Bo Diddley.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
