The final Boudin Barndance of May was a busy one. New releases dominated the
first hour before our weekly C&W set. Wilco ‘s new album was in the
spotlight throughout the night what with their Solid Sound Festival
happening this weekend here in New England. We celebrated the birthday of
Bob Dylan with a set of his music and remembered one of his old running
mates, Bob Neuwirth, who passed away last week. New albums and singles
making their Barndance debut tonight came from Wilco, Michael Askin, Pharis
& Jason Romero (single), Steep Canyon Rangers (single), John Moreland
(single), Beth//James, Erika Lewis, and Elizabeth King (single). Buttshaker
of the week???? A gospel shaker by Elizabeth King with “I Need the Lord.”
