In addition to our first hour of mostly new releases followed by our weekly C&W segment, we continued our new periodic feature called “Alt Country: A to Z” which focuses on the prime period of the genre from the late 1980s into the early aughts. I lived and DJ-ed through it all, so my library is pretty extensive. We are presenting it on a somewhat periodic basis and continued it this week with Part 2 of “B” artists devoting the entire 2nd half of the program to it. Prior to that, it was primarily new stuff the first hour before moving to our C&W segment followed by some musical odds and ends before diving into Alt Country: A to Z. Albums and singles making their Barndance debut tonight came from M. Ward, Cut Worms, Tommy Stinson’s Cowboys in the Campfire, Dallas Burrow, and Joey Frendo. Buttshaker of the week???? Bodeco with a beaut called “Gun Slingin’ Zulu Queen.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
