The heat and humidity are in the house, so summer is officially here in Southeast New England and The Boudin Barndance sure missies that air conditioned WRIU studio. Nonetheless, the show must go on and we persevered in the hot and sweaty barn to deliver the goods to you all this evening. On the agenda? Our usual mash-up of stuff. We did close by celebrating the 30th anniversary of Uncle Tupelo’s classic album, No Depression. New and recent albums making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included releases from The Dead Tongues, Sarah Jarosz, Joshua Ray Walker, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Country Westerns and the reissue of reigning Sound’s Home for Orphans. Buttshaker of the week???? Birthday boy, the late Evan Johns & his H-Bombs with “Love is Murder.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
