Muggy, hot and uncomfortable all week in these parts, hence the mission of The Boudin Barndance to deliver a little country (and then some) comfort to the masses out there tonight. The major item on tonight’s agenda was a preview of a bunch of the artists who’ll be appearing at this weekend’s Newport Folk Festival just a couple of bridges away from here. New releases making the Barndance lineup for the first time included albums from Israel Nash, Boz Scaggs, The Essex Green, Molly Tuttle, Kevin Galloway, Chicago Farmer, Folk Soul Revival, Amanda Shires, and The War & Treaty. Buttshaker of the week???? The aforementioned The War & Treaty with “Healing Tide.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
