It’s been a hot & steamy week here in Rhode Island and hopefully The Boudin Barndance cooled you down some tonight. Opened with a bunch of new things and made our moves from there. We remembered the monumental moment in country music, The Bristol Sessions, playing tracks from that historic collection. Previewed some live shows coming up in the area – JP Harris, Legendary Shack Shakers, Black Joe Lewis & Honeybears. We also gave away some tix to THE CRANKING & SKANKING FEST 2019 happening at The Met Café with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones headlining and featuring a reunited Amazing Royal Crowns performance. We played a few from their debut from way back. Broke out some old favorites in the next to last set and then closed with a classic album spotlight focus on the 2000 release from Memphis garage rockers The Compulsive Gamblers called Crystal Gazing, Luck Amazing. New and upcoming releases making their Barndance debut tonight included albums from Amy Speace, Louisa Branscomb, Ben Winship, Davina & the Vagabonds, and Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears. Buttshaker of the week???? The Compulsive Gamblers with “I’m That Guy.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
