Yet another in a long line of Boudin Barndance radio shows tonight and the thrill of it all is still there after 32+ years. On the agenda? Our usual mix of recent releases during the first two sets before our C&W birthdays-and-all salute set. We listened to tracks from the soundtrack to Ken Burns’ new film Country Music which begins airing on PBS on Sunday night. The folks at Sony Music Entertainment were also kind enough to provide us copies to give away and we gave away one tonight. Closed out with a couple in remembrance of Daniel Johnston – RIP. A bunch of new releases making their Barndance debut tonight and they albums from Joan Shelley, Amy Speace, Lillie Mae, Del Barber, Dorie Freeman, and Helene Cronin. Buttshaker of the week????
