The live Boudin Barndance radio shows continued this evening as all is very, very quiet on the URI campus and the Memorial Union building where our studio is located. Getting back into the studio groove of things and hopefully we stay there for some time. We featured primarily new releases during the first hour this evening. Went to our C&W and hillbilly set at 7 before breaking for our listings. We then went into an extended Hank Williams set in remembrance of his birthday which is today. We also did a mini remembrance of Gram Parsons what with Saturday being the anniversary of his passing. Closed things out with a set of favorite old Austin stuff (with the exception of set closer from Mike McClure). New and recent releases making their Barndance debut tonight included albums from Elizabeth Cook, Otis Gibbs, Brennen Leigh, Dirk Powell, Emily Barker, H.C. McEntire, Chris Smither, Waylon Payne, and Mike McClure. Buttshaker of the week???? Hank himself with “Mind Your Own Business.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
