The final Boudin Barndance of September was a fun one from my seat. New stuff the first hour, an extended birthday set the middle hour (including a remembrance of George Frayne, AKA Commander Cody, who passed on Sunday), and a final hour shoot ‘em up which included a set from Paul Burch who plays our first house show in 19 months for our Roots Hoot House Concerts series outdoors on Saturday afternoon. New albums and singles making their Barndance debut tonight came from Dar Williams, Strand of Oaks. Kaley Rutledge, John Sebastian & Arlen Roth, Billy Strings, TK & the Holy Know-Nothings, and Legendary Shack Shakers. Buttshaker of the week???? Let’s give it to Ernie K-Doe with “Make You Love Me.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
