Our first Boudin Barndance of October was a cold and rainy night with a hint of fall in the air. We mixed it up in our usual way. New stuff, old stuff, C&W, and this and that. We went out on a very sad note with a couple of songs from The Muffs in remembrance of leader Kim Shattuck whose passing caught most everyone by surprise. The heavens just got a terrific R&R-er. New releases making their Barndance debut tonight included albums from Kelsey Waldon, Kendall Marvel, Karen & the Sorrows, David Kilgour & the Heavy Eights, Hiss Golden Messenger, and Ian Ferguson. Buttshaker of the week???? The Muffs with “Cheezy.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
