Busy as a bumblebee on this evening’s Boudin Barndance radio show. We saluted the 20th anniversary of Nick Lowe’s album The Convincer to close out the program. We also shined a spotlight on new releases from Fat Possum Records and its Big Legal Mess and Bible & Tire Recording Co. imprints. Prior to all that, we opened with an hour of mostly new releases followed by our weekly C&W-and-then-some set as well as a Texas set bookended by birthday boy Dale Watson. New albums and singles making their Barndance debut tonight came from Adam Ostrer, Buffalo Nichols, Tom Bomb, Triptides, Courtney Barnett, Bob Kendall, Steve Gunn, Brandi Carlile, Charlotte Cornfield, Asleep at the Wheel, David Ferguson, Alexa Rose, Elder Jack Ward, and the The Sacred Soul of North Carolina and JCR Records Story Vol. 2 from Bible & Tire.
