Of course there was a Boudin Barndance this evening on what was yet another gorgeous and summer-like Thursday here in Southern Rhode Island. Our usual format the first half of the program with new stuff the first hour and C&W set after that. In the 2nd half, we sent out birthday pros to Jon Langford and began a new Barndance feature focusing on an album from the past that truly floated our boat. In the spotlight tnoight was Paul Burch’s 2003 release “Fool for Love” which is getting a remaster treatment according to Paul. New releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included albums from William Elliot Whitmore, Half Gringa, Will Johnson, Band of Heathens and Suzzy & Lucy Wainwright Roche. Buttshaker of the week???? Birthday guy Sid King with The Five Strings doing “Purr Purr Purr.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
