It felt like summer in these parts today, so hopefully you caught this evening’s Boudin Barndance on your porch or outdoors with cold drink in hand. Our usual mixed bag of music this evening with new releases dominating the first hour before moving to our weekly C&W set. We remembered The Country Caruso, the great Texas honky tonker Johnny Bush, who passed away last Friday. Our final hour was a bit of playing the field. New releases making their Barndance debut tonight included albums from Sam Morrow, Jennifer Castle, Dave Alvin, Mipso, and Leyla McCalla. Buttshaker of the week???? We give it to late zydeco master Boozoo Chavis with “Johnnie Billie Goat.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
