A whole lot of Halloween shenanigans on this evening’s Boudin Barndance, namely what we do most years which is play a bunch of boogie tunes (with some Halloween flavored stuff also in the mix). That was a large part of the middle segments of the show. Mostly new stuff the first hour, but we did squeeze in a preview of music from S.G. Goodman and gave away tix to her show at the Newport Casino on Saturday night. New albums and singles making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included music from Waylon Payne, Amanda Anne Platt & The Honeycutters, Margo Cilker, Charles Wesley Godwin, Jason Isbell, Moot Davis, April Mae & the June Bugs, Dave Delmonico & the Cross Country Boys, and Laura Stevenson. Buttshaker of the week???? Shirley Bergeron with “French Rockin’ Boogie.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
