Another full menu on The Boudin Barndance this evening the centerpiece of which was a look at the recent Harry Smith B-Sides collection from Dust to Digital Records which gathers all the flipsides of the 78 rpms that comprised Harry Smith’s historic Anthology of American Folk Music. There was much joy in this and other necks of the woods last Saturday and in the days since it has been tempered quite a bit. We want it back, hence opening with Lucinda Williams “Joy” before moving into new releases followed by our weekly C&W set. New releases making their Barndance debut tonight included albums from Randall Bramblett, Andrew Grimm, Christian Kjellvander, Strung Like a Horse, and the aforementioned Harry Smith’s B-Sides collection. Buttshaker of the week???? The Memphis Jug Band takes the big salami with “Memphis Yo Yo Blues.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
