Our Alt Country A to Z feature returned last night with a focus on “P” artists from the heyday of the genre. We did the feature during the last hour of the program. We also remembered Randy Cheek of Ass Ponys fame who passed away on Nov 12. Played a short set of some Ass Ponys favorites in his memory. Prior to all that, it was new releases the first hour followed by our weekly C&W segment. New albums and singles making their Barndance debut tonight came from Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakam, Cracker (new retrospective), Margo Price (from Margo Guryan tribute), Andrew Gabbard, Benjamin Tod, and Jimmie Dale & The Flatlanders (reissue).
