A chilly evening in these parts tonight, but not chilly enough to halt The Boudin Barndance radio show. Our primary feature this evening was a remembrance of Toni Price during the final set of the night. The memories are many from this camp of seeing Toni during her Continental Club Tuesday happy hour shows. Happy memories is putting it lightly. She was very special. Prior to that, it was new releases the first set followed by a North Carolina artist set inspired by new releases this year from Jake Xerxes Fussell and everyone’s favorite of 2024, MJ Lenderman. It was then into our weekly C&W set which was followed by a look at the new album from Wussy called Cincinnati Ohio. An odds & ends set followed that before moving to our Toni Price remembrance. New albums and singles making their Barndance debut tonight came from Patterson Hood, Wussy, Wilco, and Steve Wynn who plays a house concert hosted by yours truly on Saturday evening. Buttshaker of the week???? Merle Travis with “Any Old Time.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
