Slick roads and an equally slick Boudin Barndance this evening. Once again, the show was simulcast as part of the Salvation music & art series happening all this month at The Salvation Café in Newport. Also on the agenda this evening was a preview of next week’s Reverend Horton Heat/Dale Watson & The Lonestars/Rosie Flores show happening at Fete in Providence on Wednesday night. We remembered a couple of recent fallen heroes, Opry star Little Jimmy Dickens and Wendy Rene who had a short but very sweet mid-60s run at Stax Records. First time spins went out to a couple of 2014 releases from Kelsey Waldon and The Muffs. Also concluded our look back at some favorite 2014 releases. Buttshaker of the week???? The Reverend Horton Heat takes the big salami with “If It Ain’t Got Rhythm”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
