The pussycat winter in these parts gave way to some serious chill today. No snow, so all is well. On the Boudin Barndance agenda? Well, we remembered the Rhode Island’s king of country music, Eddie Zack, on the 4th anniversary of his passing in January of 2002. Also featured music from New England-based singer/songwriter Mark Erelli who appears at the Stone Soup Coffeehouse in Pawtucket on Saturday night (www.soup.org). Mark put out a terrific record of Western Swing-styled music a few years back and word has it his Saturday night show will find him accompanied by the equally terrific Boston-based Western swing band The Spurs. Lots of new things making the Barndance hit parade for the first time. They included releases from Jeff Talmadge, Rosanne Cash, The Gibson Brothers, Fred Prellberg, True Brothers, and Norman & Nancy Blake. Buttshaker of the night????? The late Zack with the rockabilly nugget “I’m Gonna Roll & Rock”. Now onto the goods…..
