What with nearly a foot of snow on the ground, The Boudin Barndance was sort of like the US Mail tonight. Nothing stops us! Judging by Facebook action, it looked like a lot of people were certainly snowbound, so hopefully we provided ample entertainment. Other than a few two-song birthday salutes and a mini-preview of the band Winterpills who play a show hosted by yours truly on Saturday night, it was a mix ‘em up night. Oh yeah, we did do another of our 1990s alt country flashback sets. New albums making their Barndance debut tonight included records from The Sadies, Normal Living Self, Lawrence Morrill Glass, Son Volt, Sandy Rogers, Chuck Prophet and Soul Scratch. Buttshaker of the week???? Gene Clark with The Gosdin Brothers doing “Elevator Operator.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
