Back to a full three hours this week after last week’s abbreviated Boudin
Barndance. To get folks thinking about the beach days ahead, the big event
of the evening was our annual Mid-Winter Surf Music Extravaganza which
occupied the last hour of the program. Only four or so months, folks.
Other than that, the usual mixed bag of Barndance goodies. New releases
making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included albums from
Donna Beasley, Bobbie Nelson, Cat Power, Nick Lowe, and Boston legend of
sorts, Preacher Jack. Buttshaker of the night???? The A-Bones, who by the
way are playing in L.A. this weekend as part of the Boss Hoss Blowout at Mr.
T’s Bowl, with “Mumbo Jumbo”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the
goods….
