An abbreviated version of The Boudin Barndance tonight due to a URI women’s basketball broadcast. It’s our only pre-emption of the entire season, so we luck out for another year. Nonetheless, it was a quick show but we did get to debut a few recent albums including the new one from Mississippi bluesman Bobby Rush and two great classic honky tonk releases from Omnivore Records of previously unreleased material from Buck Owens and Don Rich. Buttshaker of the week???? We always have time for a buttshaker and the cake this week goes to down to the Bayou with the late ’50s rocker from Nathan & the Sparks called “Don’t Say No”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
