Cold as a witch’s you know what in these parts tonight and up to yours truly to warm the cockles of the listening hearts in Boudin Barndance land. We began with a birthday remembrance of swing king Bob Wills playing some tunes to get things rolling. Remembered Patsy Cline, Cowboy Copas & Hawkshaw Hawkins what with the anniversary of the plane crash that took them out being this week. We did previews/ticket giveaways for the Middle Brother/Deer Tick/Dawes show at Lupo’s in Providence tomorrow evening and the annual Cajun & Zydeco Mardi Gras Ball happening at Rhodes -on-the-Pawtuxet in Cranston on Saturday evening. New and recent releases making their Barndance debuts this evening including albums from Tony Furtado, La Sera, Hayes Carll, Winter’s Fall, Jim Sullivan (reissue), and the fabulous Charles Bradley.
