Boudin Barndance happenings this evening were a mixed bag. With the one year anniversary of his passing this past Sunday, we began the show by remembering Buck Owens. As part of the Owens set, we featured a few from the new Buck Owens tribute release release from Jann Browne called Buckin’ Around. Did a birthday salute set to the late, great Lefty Frizzell. Featured some tunes from Amy Speace who along with her band The Tearjerks plays a house concert at the home of yours truly this Sunday. We’ve still got a few spots available for this one. In addition to the Browne release, other albums making the Barndance hit parade for the 1st time included recent ones from Amy Millan (big thumbs up!) and Willy Porter. Buttshaker of the night???? Howard Kalish with a tempting two-stpper called ” I Wanna Be a Cajun”. Now onto the goods….
