After a week of fundraising, it was back to the normal business of The Boudin Barndance this evening. Sadness prevailed on the R.I. music scene this week with the way, way too early passing of Dave Lamb of Brown Bird. A standup fellow and an incredible talent, our Boudin Barndance love and prayers go out to his musical companion and wife, MorganEve Swain. We played a set of Brown Bird music in tribute to Dave. May he rest in peace with heart and groove. Featured a bit of music from Amy LaVere who with her musical companion, Will Sexton, plays a house concert hosted by yours truly on Sunday afternoon. New releases making their Barndance debut this evening included albums from Bobby Bare Jr’s Young Criminals Starvation League, Rodney Crowell, Grant Peeples, Johnny Two Bags, Chatham County Line, Jon Langford & Skull Orchard, and Black Lips.
