Some crazy weather in these parts this afternoon with temps fluctuating from 40 to 60 with rain to sun. Typical Spring. As for The Boudin Barndance, another night in the old saddle and we kicked everything off with a birthday salute to the honky tonk girl herself, Loretta Lynn. Featured music and gave away tix for two upcoming shows at The Met Café in Pawtucket, that being the Felice Brothers on April 20 and Lucero the following night. Also previewed the Joe Fletcher & Wrong Reasons show happening at The Met tomorrow night. On the new release front, albums from The Waco Brothers & Paul Burch, J.D. McPherson, Dr. John, Tom Jones, Johnny Cash, Alex Chilton, Lee Hazlewood, Nancy Griffith, and The Carper Family were all featured for the first time on tonight’s Barndance. Buttshaker of the week???? J.D. McPherson with a hot shaker called “North Side Gal”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
