Spring still hasn’t sprung in these parts, but The Boudin Barndance sprung like a rabbit on this Thursday evening. The new album from Sturgill Simpson and the Cosmic American Music compilation from The Numero Group were in the new album spotlight this evening. We saluted Loretta Lynn on her 84th birthday (today!) and featured a few from the Waco Brothers who play a house show hosted by yours truly on Sunday. New releases in addition to the Simpson and Cosmic American Music albums making their Barndance debut tonight included records from John Doe, Teddy Thompson & Kelley Jones, The Honeycutters, Winterpills, and Red Shahan.
