This evening was the WRIU Radiothon fundraiser edition of The Boudin Barndance and we broke all records for number of calls and pledges. Support was incredible and a lot of folks will be getting our very snappy 2010 Boudin Barndance t-shirt. It’s a beaut and we thank long-time listener Paul for making it a reality. We also thank the Bloodshot folks. If you didn’t get to call in, you can still pledge your support for a few weeks more via our web site at www.wriu.org. We also thank the Boudin Barndance ladies, Liz & Mae, for helping out on the phones and making the chore of pledging so pleasant for the callers. The golden touch. As for the music, it was an evening of two-song sets with lots of favorites in the mix. We did debut a couple of new releases from Elizabeth Cook and Ruth Moody (of Wailin’ Jenny’s fame). Buttshaker of the week???? What with the begging for money aspect of the program, Benny Joy wins the prize with “Money, Money”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
