Not even a nasty cold could dampen the Boudin Barndance spirits this evening as we wait for Spring to spring here in Southern New England. Featured music from Graham Parker who along with his band called the Loose Clowns play the Narrows Center for the Arts (www.ncfta.org) in Fall River, MA tomorrow (Friday) night. Also featured music from Kevin Gordon who plays a house concert at the home of yours truly this Saturday night. New albums making the Barndance hit parade for the 1st time included recordings from Mavis Staples, Jon Byrd (this one is addicting), Gurf Morlix, Dolly Varden, Detroit Cobras, and Goodnight Loving. Buttshaker of the night????? A blast from the past courtesy of the Collins Kids with “Move a Little Closer”. Now let’s have a cold one and get to the goods…..
