Back in the Boudin Barndance saddle this week after a little traveling to the Midwest last week. We got into the swing right out of the gates beginning with a couple of salutes to recently fallen heroes, that being Levon Helm and Chris Ethridge.
We headed down to New Orleans to close out the show featuring a bunch of 45s from a special Record Store Day 45-RPM box set of recordings from the vaults of Ric Records. It’s really good stuff. Lots of new releases on the Barndance hit parade for the first time this evening including releases from J.P. Harris & the Tough Choices, Sugar & the Hi-Lows, Megan Reilly (playing house concert here on June 2), The Wandering, John Fullbright, and the Waco Brothers with Paul Burch. Buttshaker of the week???? Paul Marvin from a Ric 45 with “Hurry Up”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
